The First China-Australia ICT Summit Held

The First China-Australia Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Summit was held in Shanghai on November 8th -9th, 2009. It was organized by Shanghai Research Center for Wireless Communications (WiCO), and sponsored by Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality (STCSM) and Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO). The aim of this summit was to promote the collaboration between China and Australia in the area of ICT.
 
Science & Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality (STCSM) Chief Engineer Mr. Jie Chen and Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) Group Executive Dr. Alex Zelinsky attended the summit and gave the opening speeches. The experts from the academies and industries of ICT has made their presentations and exchanged their opinions with other attendees in respect of Wireless Broadband, Sensor and Sensor Networks and eHealth. The topic of future cooperation opportunities between China and Australia has been discussed as well.
