UK-China Science Bridges - R&D on 4G WMC

A 20-member delegation of experts from the UK visited WiCO for the project “UK-China Science Bridges: R&D on 4G Wireless Mobile Communications (WMC)” on 27th July 2009. These experts were from Mobile VCE, Heriot-Watt University (HWU), the University of Bristol, the University of Bedfordshire, the University of Edinburgh, King’s College London, the University of Southampton, the University of Strathclyde, the University College London (UCL), the University of Surrey, the University of York, the National Physical Laboratory, Turner Broadcasting System Europe Limited, Telecom MODUS Ltd. and British Telecom. As the leader of the project in China, WiCO was the first stop of the British delegation’s visit to China since the project has been approved by the British government.

 

The experts from WiCO and the UK talked about the project scheduling, the progress in achieving the expected results and the plan of setting up the Sino-British Joint Research Center for 4G. After that the delegation members visited WiCO’s System Integration and Demonstration Lab and International Joint Research Lab.
