The Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony between WiCO and Nokia was held at Nokia office, Helsinki, Finland on 14th May, 2010. It was attended by Shanghai Vice Mayor Shen Xiaoming, Deputy Director of SMDRC Chi Hong, Chief Engineer of STCSM Chen Jie, Deputy Director of SIMIT and Vice Chairman of WiCO Dr. Zhao Jianlong, Director and Executive VP of Nokia (Former Prime Minister of Finland) Mr. Esko Aho, Director of Technology&Standard IP Dr. Jari Vaario and Director of Systems Research Dept. Dr. Kari Pehkonen. Dr. Jari Vaario and Dr. Zhao Jianlong signed the agreement on behalf of each side. It means that Nokia and WiCO will jointly develop the research on 4G (IMT-A) and its standardization.
